Transmission Trouble Symptoms You Can’t Ignore

Cars typically have an automatic or manual transmission. For Winter Haven, FL drivers who drive a car with an automatic transmission, you need to think about what would happen if your transmission were to ever fail.

Here are a couple of transmission problems you should never ignore, brought to you by FIAT of Winter Haven.

Difficult Shifts

If you feel like your FIAT car is refusing to change gears as easily as it normally does, or the gear shifts aren’t happening smoothly, you may be having trouble with your transmission. You may also hear a noticeable “thud” or “clunk.” These noises should never be ignored, so don’t turn up your radio and pretend that you don’t hear them.

Slipping Transmission

A transmission slip may feel like you’re driving in a certain gear and then it suddenly changes for no apparent reason. Your engine may sound like it is whining. If this is happening, bring your vehicle into our FIAT service center immediately.

Delayed Engagement

If this sign occurs, you will experience a delay before your vehicle engages into drive and starts moving forward. When you shift out of park and into drive, there may be a long pause before the car starts to rev the engine.

Other Symptoms

Your transmission should never be leaking fluid as it is sealed. If you notice any fluid spots on your garage floor or driveway, lay down cardboard underneath the front and middle of your car to see if they are active leaks.

Another sign of a faulty transmission is if your transmission warning light is on.

If any of the aforementioned things are occurring, it is best for you to see an expert mechanic at FIAT of Winter Haven immediately!

The Benefits of Buying a Used FIAT Vehicle

Is it time for a new car? At FIAT of Winter Haven, your used FIAT dealership serving Winter Haven, FL, we urge customers to consider purchasing a used vehicle. When it comes to buying a car, a lot of folks don’t often consider used vehicles as an option, mainly because they think it means that they’ll be inheriting somebody else’s problems. But that’s not the case.

There are tons of perks to buying used instead of new. Firstly, a pre-owned FIAT vehicle is going to cost a lot less than a new one. Many states do not subject used cars to sales tax. Plus, new cars start losing their value as soon as they’re driven off of the lot. Used cars retain their value much longer.

All of our pre-owned FIAT cars undergo rigorous testing and a thorough inspection, giving you the peace of mind of knowing that your new-to-you car will be ready for the road ahead!

It’s important to know what type of make and model you want before coming to the dealership. We make it simple by offering you a vast online inventory of all of our pre-owned and new FIAT models, including the 2017 FIAT Spider. Simply take a look at our current available cars so that you know precisely what you want and you will find a car that you will love riding home in!

At our dealership, you can also score models from the most recent model years. This means that you don’t have to worry about getting a decade-old model. We have vehicles from years as recent as 2013, with low mileage and in top-notch condition!

The 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia: Looking Ahead

If the Alfa Romeo Giulia sounded familiar to you when rumors of the car first started to circulate in 2015, you weren’t alone. The deja vu came from the fact that an earlier Alfa Romeo carried that name for more than a decade, becoming a legend in the process. More than most car makers, Alfa Romeo is mindful of its past even as it looks to the future. That appreciation of heritage means that a 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia will arrive soon at Alfa Romeo of Winter Haven, and will be seen prowling the streets of Auburndale and Lakeland shortly after.

The Type 105 and Type 115 series Alfa Romeo Giulia debuted in 1962, and would be discontinued 16 years later. In its original guise, its available engines put out between 80 and 110 horsepower, while the boxy shape of its sedan and coupe variants belied a car that was surprisingly nimble.

In many ways, the new Alfa Romeo Giulia couldn’t be much further from the 1962 model that inaugurated the line. The 2017 version comes standard with a 2.0-liter, 276 horsepower, turbocharged four-cylinder engine that’s standard with an eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive. Other standard features include leather seats, push-button start, dual exhaust, and an infotainment system with a 6.5-inch touchscreen. Upgrades include an 8.8-inch touchscreen and adaptive cruise control. Opt for the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and you’ll be treated to a 505-horsepower engine that makes the 80 hp in the 1962 model seem like a lawn mower engine by comparison.

FIAT Chrysler Automobiles, the parent company of FCA US LLC, has pumped $5.6 billion into revitalizing the Alfa Romeo brand. The 2016 Alfa Romeo 4C was the first fruit of those efforts, showcasing a company that’s recommitted to the kind of design, engineering, and exhilarating driving experience that originally built the Alfa Romeo name. Our Auburndale customers can see the 2016 Alfa Romeo 4C at Alfa Romeo of Winter Haven now, and will be able to see the 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia here soon. Visit our showroom at 190 Avenue K SW in Winter Haven, FL or call (844) 801-3068 today!

Rare Pre-War Alfa Romeo Due at Auction

As Alfa Romeo makes its return to North America after a long absence, it’s time for automotive enthusiasts from Auburndale and Lakeland to reacquaint themselves with the century-old Italian marque. While the 2016 Alfa Romeo 4C available at Alfa Romeo of Winter Haven bears all the hallmarks of a legend in its own right, a reminder of the company’s long heritage is also in order. To that end, we introduce the 1939 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Lungo Spider, a rare Alfa Romeo that’s expected to sell at a record price when it goes on the auction block at RM Sotheby’s in Monterey, CA later in August.  Read the rest of this entry >>
